Dan & Kayla | Glasbern Inn Wedding

How is it August already, guys?!  I'm here to share one of my two June weddings with you today and I know you're going to love it.

Dan and Kayla are a really special couple.  Dan and my husband Dave used to play in a band together, and have remained friends ever since.  From the moment I met Kayla, I just really liked her.  She was fun, beautiful, laid back, and just had the best personality.  Needless to say, I was thrilled when she asked me to shoot their wedding at the Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville.  This place is such a hidden gem (we're talking minimal cell service!) in the hills of the Lehigh Valley.  I had never shot there before but the place was a dream, and fit the couple's vision for their rustic, softly-colored wedding so perfectly.  From the first look to the surprise sunset at the end of the day, this whole entire wedding - top to bottom - was the kind of wedding that leaves a photographer itching to go through her images!  Enjoy checking out their day!

Katie & Sean | Brooklyn Engagement

Oh, sweet, wonderful summer.  How I adore sipping a coffee and catching up on sharing photos with all of you.  I've been desperate to buckle down and blog this awesome Brooklyn engagement we shot last month with Katie and Sean.  Guys, you're going to love this.

Engagement pictures are one of those things that you really can have a blast with because there are so many options to get creative.  I always think the more personalization my couples integrate into their session, the better the photos become!  Rather than picking "that park" in your hometown or trying to choose ten different places with waterfalls and trees (this is Pennsylvania -- there's a lot of those) I think it's really important for couples to pick places they feel at home.  I was thrilled when Katie wanted to go the extra mile and appeal to her man's interests by shooting at a tiny favorite spot of theirs, Van Brunt Stillhouse in Brooklyn.  While I never drink and shoot (blurry pics, anyone!?) I did have a sip of one of their incredible cocktails.  Moreover, the friendly staff here was incredible and the photo-ops were plenty.  After that, we stopped for lunch and continued shooting in some of the couple's favorite waterfront spots.  I hope you enjoy this montage of gorgeous shots as much as I freaking LOVED taking them!  I'm so psyched to shoot Katie and Sean's wedding (also in Brooklyn) this fall.

Tom & Thelissa | Bethlehem, PA

Happy Friday!  I thought this afternoon as you all change from work clothes to jeans (or yoga pants, no judgments here) and scroll through your social media that I would share last weekend's lovely engagement shoot.  Tom and Thelissa, who are getting married next month, wanted to do an early morning shoot at the Steel Stacks in Bethlehem.  I hadn't met them before but I'm so glad I did!  Shooting with them was a dream.  Thelissa was a confident beauty who was so relaxed and happy in front of the lens and Tom was her perfect complement, with his sense of humor and ability to make her laugh throughout our shoot.  Their love for one another and their chemistry was so evident. When Thelissa contacted me, she mentioned that it was very important that they include their beloved dog in their shoot, and I was so excited.  We moved on to Monocacy park for some casual shots, and were able to capture a sunny Saturday walk with their sweet pup Pandora.  These images are extremely genuine, and I love how at ease this couple was.  They were a dream to shoot!  Best wishes, Tom and Thelissa!  I have no doubt your life together will be as lovely as the both of you.
