When I woke up this morning it was snowy, cold and windy. I spent today doing a ton of stuff I've been putting off around the house and (in a very pregnant, nesting way) made about a million meals to put in the freezer for after our little one comes in March. I ended the day running errands, and there was the most gorgeous sunset on the way home. The day reminded me a bit of a winter version of the weather we had for this October wedding. It was so rainy and wet when we arrived to photograph this couple. Our bride, Katie, was nervous because she had planned this epic first look at Jane's carousel in Brooklyn. Up until the last second we were deciding if we should risk the damp (and chilly) waterfront to do the first look and we decided to go with our gut and do it. Just like that, I swear the weather cleared and Sean and Katie ended up with the perfect mix of moody overcast skies and a golden hour later on.
This wedding was just intensely gorgeous. When I first talked to Katie I knew she was going to throw a hell of a party and it didn't disappoint. From the Bride's one-of-a-kind silvery-blue dress, to the sexy venue filled with the most perfectly curated centerpieces, the day was perfection. The music, played by anyone and everyone the groom holds near and dear was beyond measure (see what I did there?) and the heartfelt vibes of the couple's friends and family made this event so perfectly "them." Without further ado, here's Katie and Sean's INCREDIBLE Brooklyn Wedding.
